At getdivorce.in, we believe in transparency, accountability, and fairness. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, secure, and stress-free legal services. This Refund Policy outlines when and how you may request a refund for any services purchased through our platform.
By using our website and services, you agree to the terms described below.

1. Applicability

This refund policy applies to all paid services on getdivorce.in, including but not limited to:
⚫ Mutual Consent Divorce Packages.
⚫ NRI Divorce Assistance.
⚫ Drafting Services & Court Filing.
⚫ "We File for You" Packages.
⚫ Premium Add-ons (POA, Counseling, Home Visits, etc.).


2. Refund Eligibility

We offer partial or full refunds depending on the stage of service delivery:
🔹 100% Refund – If canceled within 24 hours of payment and before any service has begun.
🔹 80% Refund – If canceled within 48 hours and before document drafting starts.
🔹 50% Refund – If service is canceled after document work begins but before any filing or lawyer appointment.
🔹 No Refund – Once documents are filed in court, legal consultation is delivered, or lawyer engagement is initiated.


3. Non-Refundable Services

The following are strictly non-refundable:
⚫ Completed court filings or petitions
⚫ Drafted documents already shared with the client
⚫ Completed legal consultations (virtual or in-person)
⚫ Home visits or special appointments already scheduled
⚫ Payments made for government/court filing charges or notary fees
⚫ Discounted packages or promotional offers (unless otherwise stated)


4. Add-On Services

All add-on purchases are non-refundable after confirmation. These include:
⚫ Power of Attorney documentation
⚫ Affidavit drafting
⚫ Child custody support add-on
⚫ Emotional counseling sessions
⚫ Courier and home visit services
You may, however, request to reschedule any unused add-on service within 10 days of booking (subject to availability).


5. Refund Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:
⚫ Email us at: refunds@getdivorce.in
⚫ Include: your full name, registered email, mobile number, order ID, and reason for the refund
⚫ Our team will review your request and respond within 48 business hours
⚫ If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days
⚠️ Note: A nominal ₹499 processing charge may be deducted to cover payment gateway fees and administrative time.


6. Disputes & Escalations

If you’re not satisfied with our decision, you can escalate your request by emailing grievance@getdivorce.in with the subject line: “Refund Dispute – [Your Name]”. A senior case manager will review your issue.


7. Service Disruption Guarantee

If for any reason getdivorce.in is unable to deliver your service due to internal technical error or assigned lawyer unavailability, we will issue a 100% refund within 7 working days.


8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. All updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the new refund terms.
